Ask George looks for patterns in your spending.

Privacy

Local-first by default.

The current app stores expenses, categories, payees, budgets, notes, and optional place details on your device. Data leaves the device only when you choose flows such as support, place suggestions, or Ask George.

HomeBudget CSV import and JSON/CSV export support

Built from a real workflow

Built by one independent developer.

I’m Andrea Sciano, and I built ExpensiFamily from scratch after years of managing household expenses myself. I used HomeBudget for a long time and I’m grateful to its creator: it handled the practical details I needed when many newer tools did not fit my workflow.

Bring your history with you.

ExpensiFamily already supports HomeBudget CSV import and ExpensiFamily JSON backups. If you use another expense app and want to try mine without losing your data, tell me which app and export format you use; I’ll consider adding import or export support where practical.

Feedback is welcome.

If something feels unclear, missing, or not quite right for the way you manage expenses, I’d be grateful if you shared it so I can keep improving the app.
